Matt Henry - Magic Head Coach
A graduate of Moorhead High School, Matt has been coaching youth wrestling since 1998. Matt was a 4x wrestling state qualifier during his high school career and wrestled for MSUS after graduation. Matt has a unique ability to connect with the kids he coaches and encourages them to be their best.
Chris Zink - Magic Assistant Coach
Chris graduated from Carrington High School and has been a youth or high school coach since 2000. In high school Chris was a 2x individual state champion, as well as an NCAA Division II All American while wrestling for NDSU. In 2017 Chris was inducted into the ND Wrestling Hall of Fame. Chris’s passion for wrestling is evident in his attention to detail on the wrestling mat.
Ryan Quade - Magic Assistant Coach
Ryan is a MN native, graduating from Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa High School. Ryan has been a wrestling coach of either youth or High School since 2000. He was a 2x individual section winner during his high school years. Ryan has a desire to see kids succeed on the wrestling mat and pushes them to develop the necessary skills for wrestling success.
Mike Jenkins - Magic Assistant Coach
A local graduate of Fargo South, Mike stays busy coaching wrestling for the Magic as well as being an assistant coach for the Spud middle school, JV, and varsity teams. Along with 6 years of experience as a wrestling coach, Mike has also taught weight training. In the wrestling room, you can always hear Mike’s words of encouragement and praise for the wrestlers to make them feel good about their achievements.
John Ellingsberg - Magic Assistant Coach
John graduated from Kenyon-Wanamigo HS and has multiple years of experience coaching wrestling, track and cross country. In High School John was a 6 year letter winner and ran track in college at the University of Wisconsin Platteville. John is extremely dedicated to coaching wrestling and is always assisting kids on the wrestling mat.
Bob Mack - Magic Assistant Coach
Bob graduated from Bemidji High School and was a 3 year letter earning in wrestling as well as a player on two state football teams. In the past Bob has coached elementary wrestling and is also a coach of little league baseball. We are excited to have Bob join our coaching team this year. His patience with the kids in teaching the necessary fundamentals of wrestling is fun to watch.
