Coach Matt Henry - Matt started out his lifelong wrestling career at the age of 7 on the Moorhead Youth Wrestling Team. It was a passion from the very beginning. He wrestled every chance he got from second grade through college. At the age of 13, Matt joined the Freestyle and Greco Roman Team. Here, he was able to use talent and skills to become a state place winner 4 times throughout High School. His commitment and passion only strengthened as he got older. As a four year starter for the Moorhead High School, Matt wrestled at 140 and 145 lbs. As a junior in High School, he coached the team that had given him so much as a youth wrestler. Matt continued his wrestling career into college at MSUM. He wrestled for two years, but was forced to retire after a knee injury. That did not stop Matt from doing what he loves. Matt graduated from MSUM in 2004 with a business management degree. On January 19, 2006, Matt was married in Mexico to Amanda Haugen, a swim coach, who shares the same passion for giving back to the sport that gave him so much. Matt is moving into his eighth year of coaching and is looking foward for the season to start. Perry joined the Youth Wrestling Club in it's first year and continued wrestling throughout high school. Perry was a 4 year starter for MHS and accumulated 85+ wins, he placed in the top 5 in state in both Freestyle (4th) and Greco-Roman (2nd).
