Head Coach Joe Gaughan- Real quick about myself, I wrestled for West Fargo a long long time ago; from there I wrestled at Wahpeton Science and then finished up at Moorhead State. After college I coached three years at Shanley, West Fargo and did some junior high coaching as well. But because of job and family at that time I decided to hang up my coaching career until this opportunity came along.
This year was a relearning year for myself, getting to know the system and the wrestlers. We have made some strives and will continue to improve. What hampered us the most were numbers especially in key weight. Injuries hurt us in a lot of duals, duals we may have been able to win if we had our regular line-up.
With that being said I am looking forward to next season and the remainder of this. We have an outside shot at possibly sending three wrestlers to state. We will find out in two weeks when we host the individual Section Tournament.

Assistant Coach Caleb Schlack - Caleb starting wrestling when he was 6 years old.  He started wrestling freestyle and greco when he was in 9th grade and wished it would have been sooner.  He lettered 4 years in a row in High School and went on to wrestle in college at MSUM for 3 years.  Caleb has been a part of  or has  headed  numerous freestyle and greco programs and even coached a year of  elementary.  He has been coaching at MHS on and off for 6 years.

Assistant Coach Ben Thoreson - Ben has one year under his belt. He had a great career at MHS and is currently a captain of an excellent Cobber football team.

Dave Roberts is an Anoka High School alum who also has some collegiate wrestling experience at MSUM.
